Exploring Freedom of Thought: Emine Ozge Yildirim Vranckaert at the Minds, Freedoms, and Rights Conference

On 31 October, Emine Ozge Yildirim Vranckaert, researcher within the ALGEPI project, presented her forthcoming book chapter titled “The Mind and the Law: A Contextualized Framework for Freedom of Thought under the European Convention on Human Rights” at the Minds, Freedoms, and Rights Conference in Amsterdam. Her contribution explored the European Court of Human Rights and the definition, scope, and nature of freedom of thought under Article 9(1), offering a nuanced perspective on what the right to freedom of thought actually protects, whether it is an absolute right, and when this Article becomes applicable.
